Yelle - Complètement fou

She's back with a new lp!

Xina electronica (Labareda)

This one's for the more adventurous ears.
Labareda is a brand new record label based in Lisboa. Its first release, "Xina Eletronica" is a compilation of eletronic music made in CHINA. 100% discovery as far as I'm concerned
Have a listen, you won't regret it:

Shintaro Sakamoto - Let's Dance Raw (Zelone Records)

The freshest record you'll hear this year (perhaps with Kindness' forthcoming record).
Anyway Shintaro Sakamoto has conceived an exquisite pop LP.
I really encourage you to listen to it.

Mirror People Ft. Rowetta - It's all over my face

After a string of really nice live gigs in Lisbon, Rui Maia aka Mirror People is back with a new single, "It's all over my face". It features none other than Rowetta (Happy Mondays), who also worked with him on  the excelent "I feel The need". (DISCOTEXAS Records)

The track is a remake of Loose Joints' song and it doesn't play second fiddle to the original for a single second. and has an organic feel, which is really enjoyable (and there's some saxophone in there!! I have a sweet tooth for saxophone in disco & r&b tracks)

They should make an entire album together, they're perfect fit really.

So disco lovers: listen and buy is the message!!!

Kindness - This is not about us (femnrg)

"World we need a change of mind" still is on heavy repeat at the Okiya. My friends know how much I love Kindness, so needless to say I'm overly excited by the approaching release of his new LP. Otherness will be released in october but in the meantime Adam Bainbridge put a new track online for our aural pleasure.
I'm feeling the old school feel of the track so much.  It's soulful and pop with that cool 80s beat backbone.

Tracklist Otherness:
